Harry Turner surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ on the night
of November 16, 1973. He has served Jesus ever sense, first in a Baptist
Church in Kennett, MO. where he held just about every office except Pastor
for fifteen years. Harry surrendered to the Ministry in November 1987 and
shortly there after received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. In the spring
of 1988 Harry and Janet Left the Baptist work and pioneered a new work
in Kennett, MO. (New Life Family Worship Center). In August of 1990 Harry
joined the staff of the Home Ministry Department of Oral Roberts University
where he has served full time as a Regional Director, traveling the central
and southern United States Ministering to the Partners of ORU and raising
funds for Gods University. In January 2010 Harry left Oral Roberts University,
and joined the staff of Oral Roberts Ministry of Tulsa, OK.
Harry and his wife Janet were married on Feb. 9th, 1965 and have three children, Rick age 44, Cammy 43, and Cathy 37. They are also the proud Grandparents of four boys and two girls’ ages 8 through 22. He and Janet presently reside in Kennett, MO.
Harry served in the U.S. Army for seven
years from July 1964 until December 1970 in the Combat Engineers, this included
tours in the Republic of Viet Nam, Germany and two years as a Drill Instructor
at Fort Leonard Wood. MO. He also served thirteen years in the Missouri
National Guard. He is a life time member of the Disabled American Veterans and
the American Legion.
Harry has an Associates Degree in business
management and is a Certified Life Underwriter. He held a manager position with
the American General life Insurance company for fifteen years receiving many
company and insurance industry awards. |
