Buick Park Avenue (by Faith)!
You need a shoehorn to get into this car, but it's a sturdy little Subaru. We don't drive it much, because in Fujisawa, it is usually faster to walk!

I hope that you have found Hokkaido on a good map, but if not, we wil try to provide one for your benefit.
Our proposed itinerary is: Leave Fujisawa on the coast of South Central Japan (just west of Yokohama) on August 27th and travel by (very) small car to Kiryu, Gunma. Kiryu is about 80miles straight north from Fujisawa. We will spend two nights there and then go to Niigata, on the North or Japan Sea side of Japan's main island, Honshu. From there we will take an 18 hour ferry boat ride to Otaru,Japan, on the mysterious island of Hokkaido. Otaru is just west of Sapporo, Hokkaido's largest city. We will then drive to Hiromi's sister's house in Otaru, and spend a couple of nights there, before we leave for the east side of Hokkaido, which we believe is a two day drive. We are headed for the Shiretoko Peninsula which juts out into the Sea of Okhotsk. Why are we going there? Because it is there! You got a better idea, maybe?  After completing our mission to Tomakomai, we will return across the southern coast of Hokkaido, stopping wherever looks interesting. Then we will ferry back to Honshu, arriving in the town of "Eight Doors". We will then proceed to Kuji, where my brother-in-law, Andy, told me that we may be able to find amber on the beach. We like amber. We hope to find another insect in amber from which we can extract DNA to make afew dinosaurs. Another? Yeah, I've got one already. The insect is extinct, but perfectly preserved in the amber.  After our Kuji expedition, we will proceed back to Fujisawa, perhaps by ferry to avoid traffic. We must return by Saturday,September 8th, because we are bringing the message to the church in Chuo-Rinkan on Sunday, September 9th. Those of you that know how to pray can get started, because we want God's protection over everything we do on this trip. We know that we are all going to have a great time. Buckle your seat belt! Behave yourselves on the bus, my mom is going, too! Your friendly tour guides, John and Hiromi Stemmons
