We'll proceed to Sapporo to catch the train heading back to Honshu, under the sea for the fourth time, and headed for the sleepy little village in the mountains where Hiromi is from. It's name is Kiryu, and we have many friends there, including, "DL", Hiromi's mom. Kiryu is also where Azumayama is located, the mountain I intend to climb in February with my friend, Gokan. We are nearing the end of our adventure, but there is still plenty more fun before we are through! Stay tuned! Chitose Airport 千歳空港に立ち寄り Local train 苫小牧-糸井間は各停電車 苫小牧は前回に増してかなり空洞化。札幌は時間的にきついので、かわりに千歳空港へ行って夕飯を調達。ジョンには初めての空港。気に入った様子だ。子どもの時に、近辺の"恵庭"に住んでいて社会見学したあのシンプルな空港とはまったく様変わりしていた。何と言っても、今は北の玄関口だものね。南千歳から寝台車北斗星の個室に乗る。今日も疲れたから、良く寝られそうだ。 Back Main Next
