We slept well in a compartment. We visit Kiryu today. The last time John
were there was my father's funeral - 2.5 years ago.
寝台車も個室だと安心なせいか、ぐっすり眠れた。今までの旅程では寝台車を使った場合、5時6時に起きて電車を乗り換える計画ばかりだったが、今日は宇都宮での乗り換えは8時過ぎなので、それもゆっくり眠れた理由の一つだろう。宇都宮小山間は新幹線だが、小山からはローカルの両毛線で桐生へ。 |

Mr.Gokan is one of John's best friend. He waited us at the Kiryu Station
and took us to Onsen. Then we went to eat lunch. The restaurant used to
be a famous lace factory. Once Kiryu was flourished with silk business.
Now most business were gone, and some factory buildings are used for stores
and restaurants. I don't know why but those factory buildings have "saw-shaped"
roofs like the picture on the top of this page. We also visit TK(Mr.Takayanagi)
at his stationary store. John and Gokan-san decided to climb Azumayama
on the next their Birthday. We also visited Pastor Sugizaki and his wife
there.
桐生では後閑さんが忙しいなか、時間をとってくれ、色々ジョンの行きたい所に連れて行ってくれました。ありがとう！のこぎり屋根の元レース工場を改装したパン工房レンガでおいしいお昼を食べ、高柳さんや杉崎牧師にも会えました。 |

We had a plan to ride another sleeping car tonight, but decided to go back
to Fujisawa and go to Osaka tomorrow without heavy luggages.
今晩は秋田まで行って、寝台特急日本海に乗り明日の早朝に大阪から四国を往復してお昼に二ールさん会う予定だったが、四国行きをキャンセルし、藤沢に戻って明日荷物なしに大阪に行くことに予定を変更。小山経由で、東京で新幹線を乗り継ぎ小田原から藤沢に戻ります。 |
